Management system

The management system which is in place at ZAK S.A.has been based on the idea of centres of responsibility. These centres have been assigned their adequate responsibility accounts. That arrangement gives to the managers at the strategic level a clear picture of the company’s economic standing, of how the available potential is being utilised, and it makes it possible to evaluate efficiency in individual business areas.
Three management levels have been specified within the organisational structure of our company: s
  • trategic
  • basic
  • supportive.
The basic level has been made up of production-commercial domains which are operated as separated business units. These are:
  • Fertilisers Business Unit
  • Oxoplast Business Unit
  • Adhesives Business Unit.
The units have been market-oriented, their operation possibilities are more flexible, and each unit has a lower number of products to handle and a lower number of clients to serve than the whole company. Hence, the conditions are more favourable for each unit in learning and satisfying the client’s needs.

The organisational units which coordinate the operation of the whole company and which provide support to the Management Board have been located at the strategic level.
The technical service workshops have been grouped into one Service Unit, i.e. at the supportive level.
The general organisational structure of the company is as follows:
