Salmag® with sulphur (AN+S)
| SHORT DESCRIPTION | Salmag® with sulphur (AN+S) is a universal nitrogen fertiliser with sulphur. Can be used before sowing and for top dressing. Nitrogen, sulphur and calcium contained in the fertiliser are in forms which are easy to absorb by plants. |

| CATEGORY | Nitrogen fertilizers |
| TRADE NAME: Salmag® with sulphur (ammonium nitrate with sulphur, AN + S), granulated CHEMICAL NAME: Mixture of ammonium nitrate with calcium sulphate CHEMICAL SYMBOL: NH4NO3 + CaSO4 USES: This is a nitrogen fertilizer supplying nutritive elements (N as NH4+ and NO3-, Ca as CaSO4). It is suitable for blending with other granulated fertilizers. DESCRIPTION: A universal nitrogen fertiliser with sulphur in great demand on the market. Can be used before sowing and for top dressing. Nitrogen, sulphur and calcium contained in the fertiliser are in forms which are easy to absorb by plants. The granules are very strong. They are hard and uniform. Their strength and application parameters are similar to those of Salmag®. Salmag® with sulphur is particularly recommended in the case of sulfurphilic crops, such as: winter rape and spring rape, mustard, clover, lucerne, onion, cabbage, garlic and potatoes. A major advantage of Salmag® with sulphur results from the fact that using nitrogen fertilisers in the case of sulfurphilic plants is effective only when sulphur is present. Salmag® with sulphur may be blended with other granulated fertilisers.

THE SIGNIFICANCE OF SULPHUR:
Sulphur is a macronutrient needed by all plants. According to the latest assessments, the extent to which the content of sulphur removed with the yield is replenished is not enough. Organic fertilisation by means of cattle dung was radically reduced due to significantly decreased cattle dung production. At the same time, single superphosphate containing sulphur was replaced by multi-ingredient fertilisers without sulphur. Moreover, the industry reduced emissions of sulphur to the atmosphere. Therefore, it is necessary to replenish the content of sulphur in soil by mineral fertilisation, especially in the case of plants sensitive to sulphur deficiency. Sulphur is a component of amino acids which form proteins of fatty acids; it is a component of mustard seed oils, proteins, enzymes, vitamins B1 and H and penicillin. It is necessary for the synthesis of methionine, cystine and cysteine. It participates in the processes of photosynthesis and plant respiration. Using nitrogen fertilisers in the case of sulfurphilic plants is effective only when sulphur is present. Synthesis of sulphur containing amino acids (methionine, cystine and cysteine) requires at the same time nitrogen and sulphur.
ADVANTAGES OF SALMAG® WITH SULPHUR:
- It is a valuable source of nitrogen (27.5%) in the form of fast-release nitrate (13.7%) and slow-release ammonium (13.8%), which ensure optimum development conditions.
- Salmag® with sulphur is the most effective in the case of sulfurphilic plants sensitive to sulphur deficiency (i.e. rape, potatoes, cabbage and onion).
- It contains sulphur (4.5%) and calcium (6.5% CaO); all nutrients contained in Salmag® with sulphur are easily absorbed by the plants.
- The structure of granules protects nitrogen from being leached out too soon and thus against nitrogen losses.
- Granules are very strong and hard, therefore:
- the fertilizer does not cake and does not crumble, it is resistant to abrasion during transport and storage;
- it can be applied (spread) over long distances (up to 42m*), reduces the number of runs across the field and thus reduces the costs of farming.
- Granules have an excellent, high uniformity (granule class: 95% of 2-5 mm granules):
- even spreading is guaranteed, regardless of a spreading technique, which ensures stable quality of the yield;
- the fertilizer can be blended with other granulated fertilizers, thus making it possible to fully fertilize the soil in one application.
- Each granule is covered by an anti-caking agent, which ensures flowability and prevents caking.
- Favourably affects soil pH and ensures favourable development conditions for soil microorganisms required by plants.
- The product meets all required safety criteria.
- Its efficiency was tested on experimental fields.
